Time Parallelization for Second-Order Equations Michael Minion Stanford University This talk will discuss recent work on extending the parallel full approximation scheme in space and time (PFASST) to second-order differential equations, in particular Hamiltonian systems. I will present a new variant of spectral deferred corrections appropriate for second-order equations and discuss options for generating a hierarchy of time-space problems to increase the parallel efficiency of PFASST. I will also discuss some recent progress on applying these ideas to molecular dynamics simulations using the OpenMM framework.
